Cairo International Film Festival announced the complete lineup of films participating in its 46th edition, held from November 12 to 21, 2025. The festival reveals a rich and diverse program featuring about 150 films from across the world, spread over 11 different competitions and programs, promising a unique cinematic experience for audiences and critics alike.
This year’s festival offers a wide array of cinematic works competing in official competitions or showcased in parallel programs, distributed as follows:
International Competition: 14 films.
Official Section Out of Competition: 15 films.
Critics’ Week Competition: 8 films.
Horizons of Arab Cinema Competition: 9 films.
Short Film Competition: 24 films.
Special Screenings Program: 18 films.
International Panorama: 18 films.
Midnight Screenings Program: 5 films.
Cairo Classics Program: 12 films.
Restored Egyptian Cinema Program: 21 films.
Egyptian Panorama Out of Competition: 6 films.
This diversity reaffirms Cairo International Film Festival’s stature as one of the most prestigious festivals in the Arab world and Africa, and the only cinema platform in the region to hold the Category “A” accreditation from the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF). With this vibrant program, Cairo prepares to welcome filmmakers and cinephiles in a nine-day artistic celebration.
