Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) has announced the members of the Short Film Competition Jury for its 47th edition, taking place from 11 to 20 November 2026, as the festival marks 50 years since its inaugural edition in 1976.
The announcement was made during the festival’s press conference, held at noon today, 11 October 2026, at Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile.
The jury comprises director Hasan Hadi (Iraq), director and screenwriter Stefanie Kolk (Netherlands), and actor Aly Kassem (Egypt).
Cairo International Film Festival is one of the oldest and most prestigious film festivals in the Arab world and Africa. Established in 1976, it is held annually under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture. This year, the festival celebrates 50 years of showcasing diverse cinematic experiences and fostering dialogue between filmmakers and audiences.
