As part of Cairo Industry Days, held within the 46th Cairo International Film Festival, the Open-Air Theatre at the Cairo Opera House will host a panel discussion today, Saturday, November 15, titled “Emerging Arab Cinema: From Local to Global,” from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM.
The session, moderated by Critic Mohamed Allal, will feature Ahmed Malik, the Nasser brothers, Sarah Mansanet Rouyo, and Alaa Karkouti. They will offer in-depth insights into the growing trajectory of Arab cinema and its potential to transcend borders from the local scene to the global stage. The discussion will also touch on production and narrative challenges faced by filmmakers in the region and their prospects for reaching wider audiences.
This event is part of a series of professional engagements organized by Cairo Industry Days, aimed at enhancing communication among creators, facilitating knowledge exchange, and providing a platform to empower the new generation of filmmakers and support their ambitious projects.
