Cairo – Thursday, November 13, 2025
Today marks the launch of “Cairo Industry Days,” a key pillar of the Cairo International Film Festival, featuring wide participation of Arab and international filmmakers and professionals. The program is rich with panel discussions, workshops, and lectures covering various industry aspects.
This year’s activities include specialized workshops held throughout the event, such as an improvisation acting workshop exploring spontaneous performance tools in front of the camera, an editing workshop discussing visual narrative rhythm and cinematic language formation, and a digital restoration workshop spotlighting techniques for preserving and restoring classic films using cutting-edge digital methods.
This is the 11th edition of the Cairo Film Industry Platform, which since its inception has supported and developed dozens of independent cinematic projects from across the Arab world, many of which have won prestigious local and international awards. Notably, filmmaker Namir Abdel Meseeh won several awards for his film “Life After Siham,” launched as part of the platform and recently recognized at El Gouna Film Festival.
Meanwhile, activities continue at the Cairo Film Market, bringing together producers, directors, distributors, and supporting institutions in a space dedicated to exchanging expertise and creating opportunities between emerging talents and production entities from various countries, including through the newly launched “Cairo Pro-Meet” program.
Cairo Industry Days represent a vital platform supporting creatives in all phases of the cinematic work, reflecting the festival’s commitment to backing the Arab film industry and developing professionals’ skills while keeping pace with global developments in the field.
The events will continue until November 20 as part of the Cairo International Film Festival program, which consistently strengthens its role as a cultural and artistic bridge between Egypt and the world.
This year’s program benefits from the sponsorship of key partners affirming Cairo Industry Days’ role as a major pillar supporting cinema and filmmakers both regionally and nationally.
